The purpose of the club is to promote Kacie's love of reading (good stuff).
The wildly enthusiastic members so far are Jenny, Julie and Jevan Meadows; Beebs and the Old Man, but we want lots of members.
When you complete a really great book, please post the title, author and a brief critique on Kacie's website. At various times during the year, lists of the books read will be compiled and posted on Kacie's website so that we can size up the competition.
The Rules
1. Only classic masterpiece literature (including poetry) will count - the kind of stuff that has or can withstand the test of time. For example, Moby Dick is a yes and Diary of A Wimpy Kid is a no. All of the books found in the classics section of Barnes and Noble are winners along with the books found on Kacie's favorite book list per Natalie's posting of 3/05/13. Modern day best selling novels (trash) just can't cut it.
2. Books must be read between now and 12/31/13 and not something that you read light years ago.
The Grand Prize
On 1/01/14, our distinguished panel of judges (Beebs and the Old Man) will select and announce our most accomplished reader for the year. The most books read will be a consideration but the quality of the books and critiques will carry the most weight. Most importantly, there is a very good chance that the judges will not cheat and pick themselves. The winner will be mailed a box full of Kacie's favorite treats (pasta, chocolate, cheese, twizzlers, etc.) along with a gift card for dinner for two at Panera Bread.
Turn off the television and computer and hit the books!!! Books currently being read by members are Rebecca (Du Maurier), Middlemarch (Eliot), Les Miserables (Hugo), Wuthering Heights (Bronte) and Huckleberry Finn (Twain).
Happy Reading,
Beebs and the Old Man

Thinking of Kacie
This afternoon Larrisa, Vince and I all had dinner together at the Double T Diner in Catonsville off Rolling Road. Well actually we all had breakfast for dinner :) Coffee, Eggs, bacon, Pancakes, French Toast. And Larissa treated us. It was really nice.
Afterwards we went over to the Asian mart across the street from the diner. Kacie liked to get the spicy tofu there. I bought a couple packages. I also got Pocky candy which Kacie liked too. I forgot to get the Jasmine tea she liked.
Then since we were in the neighborhood we also drove by Mimi's old house on Chanceford Road. Still looked the same and had the Iron horse in the driveway.
After that we went to the new Good Will Thrift store on RT. 40 that opened up by where the old Toys R Us was. One of my favorite things to do with Kacie was ravage through thrift and antique stores looking for unique and interesting finds. I didn't find anything this time. But Vince got a shirt I think. While we were in the thrift store the song "Under the Boardwalk" came on by the Drifters. It was funny because you could hear various people in different parts of the store start singing and whistling the song as soon as it came on. Kacie liked this song. She had it on her Itunes. Enjoy.

Chocolove XOXOX !!!
After looking for this candy bar that Natalie told us Kacie loved , we were so excited to finally find it while visiting the Fresh Market in Vero Beach, FL recently. I can see why Kacie liked it so much. It's very yummy and each bar has a poem enclosed.
The Cruise We Wanted To Take With Kacie And Jeff
Kacie said that she and Jeff enjoyed their cruise so much that they wanted to go on a cruise with us. We were on the Carnival Dream and went to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Martin. The following videos and photos hopefully show how much fun we had.
