I happened to be watching tv the other night, and a movie called Lemony Snickett caught my eye. The name sounded so familiar and I finally realized this was a movie Kacie and I went to see when she was here for visit. This brought back memories of seeing other children's movies with her when she visited like Little Miss Sunshine, Peter Pan, Ritchie Rich, and other I'm trying to remember. She loved children's movies and always talked me into going when she was here.

A Long Walk With Kacie Dream
I had this dream just before waking up this morning.
I was working in Washington D.C. and had left my car at a gas station for repair. After work, I tried to find the station without success. As I was walking through the streets of downtown D.C., Kacie appeared as an adult and we walked together. We walked through ghettos and around the beltway and we talked constantly. All I can remember about our conversation is that she said she had stayed in touch with Jeff and Mimi. I repeatedly asked her if she had a cell phone so that we could call Beebs for help. Finally she agreed to let me have it and handed me a big piece of cheese. She thought that this was hillarious and I woke up.

A Visit To Kacie's House Dream
When Kacie was admitted to the hospital we received a phone call at 3 am from the police. For three years I have been waking up around 3 each morning and reliving the experience. I had this dream this morning and woke up at 3 as usual.
We were living at our house in Woodbine and were visited by several old friends. After walking through our house I told our guests that we owned another home and would like to show it to them. It was only several minutes away so we got in my car and drove west on Liberty Road to a small community in the country. Our house was the largest and nicest of any there. One of the people in our car group was suffering from cancer and was very irritable. We walked into a very contemporary living room that was nicely furnished in bright colors. I then walked alone into an adjoining bedroom and Kacie was there lying on the bed. She was an adult and looked good but was a little overweight. Kacie made no attempt to get up so I covered her with a sheet a layed next to her. We talked and she said that she was not lonely or afraid to live in the big house. She also said that she liked to fish. I then asked her what had happened to her life and why she had died and she said "there are only a few people like us." I then woke up and remembered every detail with perfect clarity.

Jetty Dream
I had this interesting dream this morning.
Natalie, Kresmir and myself were visiting tourist sites in a coastal town in Europe. We heard that the best attraction was a huge castle near the beach. When we arrived there, a tour guide showed us an open spiral stairway going straight up into the sky and told us that there were one million steps to the top and we would see the castle there. Natalie went first and I followed with Kresmir. The view of the ocean was incredible on the way up and when we finally arrived at the top there was a long rocky jetty, like Ocean City, leading to the castle in the distance. Natalie and Kresmir walked ahead of me and got into a slight argument because he claimed that during our climb to the top Natalie kept repeating "I belong to Kacie." I then heard him say "but Kacie said that you liked me" and I woke up.

The Universal Sigh
One of Kacie's favorite bands, Radiohead, has come out with a new free newspaper called The Universal Sigh.

I promised I would post some pictures of my recent trip to England. I had to go to England for work but was able to take a couple days off with my coworkers and see London again. There isn't anything special from the London, we got to see a lot of the same sites I had visited before. The unique part of this trip is I got to travel all the way there through France and Belgium and stay overnight in England before continuing on to work. We stayed at a very interesting hotel called the Hotel Mercure, Hythe Imperial. The Hythe Imperial is a very old hotel that sits right on the water of the English Channel. Hythe was a very nice town that has a long canal that runs through it that was used as a defensive measure during World War II. The restaurants in England were excellent including the one in the picture below called the King's Head. I usually ordered the Steak and Guinness pie which was really good. I know Kacie would h
ave loved it in England but I

More Of The Night Before Eighth Grade
I believe that this was the last video ever made of Kacie by myself. As she grew older she refused to let us film her and keep up the night before starting a new grade tradition.

Jeff, you should have been here this morning. For about one hour I caught nice bass on just about every cast. I started my morning with surf fishing because it was too windy to take the boat out and did not get a bite but I caught about thirty bass right in front of my house.

Long Dog Dream
Here's a strange and comical Kacie dream from two nights ago.
Kacie and I were fishing from the shore at Liberty Lake. I put a big shrimp on the hook and cast it out. Suddenly a huge fish took the bait and the fight began but to our surprise it turned out to be a very long dog with short legs. I got it on shore and told Kacie to find a camera and she ran off and I woke up.

Tonight, I made some terriyaki stir fry tofu with rice- one of kacie's faves. I am not sure how she felt about brusselsprouts. Does anyone know if she liked them? I also made sure the salt was in the picture. her favorite topping.

The Night Before Eighth Grade ( A Kacie Classic)
Notice the shock and embarassent on Kacie's face when I mentioned the library incident. The MGM Tower of Terror ride takes place in a haunted house. There were dozens of us waiting in the libary for a ride on the elevator to the top floor. We were packed in like sardines and it was hot and stuffy. Kacie did something which was very embarassing and made the situation unbearable and terrifying for many people. Her close friends will know what I'm talking about.

In honor of Kacie , a group of us (Larissa, me, Vince and Kresimir) will be having dinner at Bangkok Delight this weekend. It was one of Kacie's favorite Thai places. Great Shark Day
The weather was pefect on Hilton Head Island today and we fished for shark in Calibogue Sound in the vicinity of Kacie's memorial lighthouse. In two hours of fishing we landed four sharks and lost as many. Not real big, in the four feet range and we caught them in a deep hole about sixty feet down. We had an unusal experience with a really large dolphin, Flipperzilla, about ten feet long. It came up to us within touching distance and would not go away. It kept smiling at us and doing tricks until we took off to another spot about a half mile away and sure enough, he followed us.
Jeff, I can catch them year round now so come on home.

baby bell cheese
Something i just remembered was how much Kacie loved BabyBell Cheese and the Laughing Cow cheese. I am taking it easy cooking dinner on a friday night munching on Laughing cow cheese and drinking wine. I remember sometimes Kacie would come over my place and sneak eating all my cheese. :)

chorus dream
I had a weird dream last night that Gary, Nancy and I were standing in a long line to some huge show/concert at some kind of stadium. There were characters from the TV show The Office that were working the admissions line. When Gary and Nancy were up they asked them for their ID and why they had come to the show. Gary said that the show was going to show a video of Kacie when she was in elementary school performing in chorus. I later found out somehow that it was a video show about kids and Queen Latifah was going to be hosting. I don't know. kinda weird. Ha.

Shoe Shine Dream
I had this dream two nights ago.
I was in the basement of the row house that I grew up in near Baltimore City. I was counting a large pile of money when Kacie walked up to me and asked me if I would give her some. She appeared to be about 5 or 6. I told her that I would give her $5 if she would shine my shoes and she told me that she would be right back and walked to the rear of the basement. After several minutes I searched for her and found her asleep next to a large aquarium that was about to fall on her because it was standing on only two legs. When I grabbed the aquarium to support it, I suddenly woke up.

Recurring Dream
I had this dream again last night and have had it several times before.
Kacie has died and we decided to have another child. The child is identical to Kacie in appearance, voice, and personality and we have named her Kacie. She grows older and I am concerned that she will begin to show a little bit of Kacie's difficult side but she remains easy going and pleasant.
