Another Dream

It has been a while but I had this dream last night.

Nancy and I decided to buy a house on Westchester Avenue in Oella. It was a small rancher and needed a lot of work but we had to move in to cut down on our expenses. The neighbors across the road were very rough looking. They were dirty looking and the little boy was around Kacie's age, 8 or 9, and had long hair and was very thin. I found out that the family repaired fish nets for a living and I told Kacie not to associate with any of them. In typical fashion, Kacie laughed and told me that she would hang out with our other daughter, her sister, if she couldn't play with the little boy.

Through out my day I am always seeing or experiencing reminders of Kacie. Something I started doing obsessivly is noticing all the K's around me. Its amazing how many license plates have the letter K in them. This house I drive by almost everyday for work. This door is on a house in Baltimore that I walk by when walking Eva in the park.

"Do you have any Hand-Sani?"

All the ladies out there I am sure at some time went to a public bathroom with Kacie. It was hilarious. She would always flush the toilet with her shoe if she could. She would always wash her hands realllly good and she would never touch the door on the way out. She would always pull her sleeve down over her hand and push it really quickly just to get the door open. Then if she didn't have her own supply of hand sanitizer after she got out of the bathroom, she would ask you if you had any. If you didn't have any, then she would ask you if you had any hand lotion.

this is a card for jeff from all of his and kacies friends from south carolina. They gave it to him at the memmorial service. somehow it got put with my stuff and i didnt have a chance to give it back to him. have been meaning to send it to him for a long time. here it is in the meantime... will send over to you, i promise!! ps. click on it to view larger.

the rolling stones tee

here are the pics i remembered of the rolling stones tee. The other girl in the picture is Renee. Kacie met her while both working at Nordstrom together. Renee gave me copies at the hospital. You can also see that she was wearing my favorite pair of earrings she owned, which Nancy passed on to me. I haven't had an occasion to wear them yet... being the majority of my life I spend in sloppy painting clothes. But I keep them hooked through a piece of lace hanging on my wall.

news!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Kresimir and I... have gotten engaged! Coincidentally, we got engaged the day after Kacie and Jeff's wedding day anniversary. We had been waiting to tell people until we had told my dad. We don't have any exact plans yet but whatever we end up doing you will all be invited to the wedding. One of the last times I saw Kacie was at Sonoma's bar in Columbia, MD. We were having a heart to heart girl talk about my relationship. Kres and I had gotten into a fight about something. Kacie looked me right in the eye and said "Natalie! Don't ever mess up what you have with Kresimir!" She went on saying how he was a great guy. She had never really defended any of my boyfriends like that before and I definitely have took her advice. Kres was by my side the whole time in the hospital and I could not  have asked for a better shoulder to lean on in the difficult time we all have been going through.
