thanks gary. i will have to make a trip down there soon. would love to see savannah too. i have been there once. When I was 16, Lisa Marshall and I were on our way to Orlando and we stopped in Savannah. Kacie met us for lunch and some shopping... I think Nancy was there too. I think Lisa has some pics from this. Lisa, can you post the pictures?

Hello to all who love Kacie,
I recently heard of Kacie's passing through her father. I can only imagine the pain you are all feeling. I shared the following words with Gary after finding them posted on a website for my 16 year old nephew Matthew, who is struggling with bone cancer. I do not know the author, but I was struck deeply by the words. I had printed it out to keep beside me for those moments when I need reassurance. I offered them to Gary. I hope these words provide some comfort to you.

My life is a gift of God.

Given, Not in Years, but a day at a time.

Today is the Day, the Lord has made for me.

He planned it to be the most important day of my life.

Yesterday is gone,
never to return.

I must not worry about it,

But leave it in the hands of God.

Tomorrow and all that it holds
is God’s secret.

Its coming is not assured.
Only today is mine.

Each day, arranged by God
with infinite wisdom
And goodness is His gift,
His act of love for me.

In Thanksgiving,
I will offer Him everyday
the gift of myself -

My prayer, works, joys, and sufferings.

Dear Lord, receive them graciously.

God bless Kacie Hand, her family and friends.
